At Cantabria Treks, we take you to discover the best of our land and its surroundings: from the green valleys and mountains of Cantabria to the breathtaking heights of the Picos de Europa, touching Asturias and León within the National Park. Here, the mountains are experienced with passion, and each route is a unique adventure connecting nature, culture, and excitement. From easy one-day hikes to summiting high peaks and sleeping under the stars at altitude, we have options for all tastes and skill levels. Come explore the heart of Cantabria and beyond with us!

To ensure safety and a personalized experience, we work with small groups. Usually up to 8 people per guide, although on easy, cultural, or pilgrimage routes like the Camino Lebaniego and the Camino de Santiago, we can organize slightly larger groups.

Yes, we organize private routes for couples, families, or groups of friends. We also offer personalized itineraries or stages of the Camino de Santiago and the Camino Lebaniego, all tailored to the time and skill level of each traveler.

Level and preparation

For each route, we indicate the difficulty level (from 1 to 5) with a clear description.

In the case of historical trails, the stages are usually accessible, with moderate elevation changes, so they do not require mountain experience.

Absolutely! We have several easy routes along the coast and in the mountains. In our route catalog, you can see all the low-difficulty routes, perfect for people with little mountain experience and for families with children. Additionally, we offer the option to create custom routes in any area of Cantabria, as well as adapt existing routes for the little ones.

Safety and your well-being come first. If you are unable to continue during the route, we will adapt the itinerary or find the best way to return. All routes have nearby villages or access points to adjust the journey.

Languages and services

Yes, we offer all our routes, including cultural and historical ones, in Spanish and English, with a certified guide.

Yes, all routes include accident, rescue, and liability insurance.

On many coastal and valley routes, and on some sections of the Camino de Santiago or the Camino Lebaniego, bringing a dog is allowed. It is not recommended on high mountain routes. Please consult us before booking.

Bookings and payments

You can contact us by email, WhatsApp, Instagram, or through the website form. We will confirm availability and provide all the details.

One-day routes:

  • Booking: free, no advance payment required.
  • Payment: in cash, on the day of the activity, before the route starts.
  • Cancellations: we appreciate it if you let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend.

Two-day or longer treks:

  • Booking: a 30% deposit of the total price is required at the time of booking.
  • Remaining payment: to be paid in cash on the first day of the activity.
  • Cancellations:
    • More than 15 days in advance: 100% of the deposit is refunded.
    • Between 14 and 7 days in advance: 50% of the deposit is refunded.
    • Less than 7 days in advance or in case of no-show: the deposit is non-refundable.

If Cantabria Treks cancels the activity, the full amount will be refunded, and the activity can be rescheduled for another date, provided the customer is available.

Yes, as long as you notify us at least 48 hours in advance and there is availability.
