Route description
Circular intermediate-level route with ascent to one of the most iconic mountain huts in Picos de Europa.
The route begins on the first day in Fuente Dé, where the cable car climbs the impressive 800-meter limestone wall. Not for us, as we will ascend via the Tornos de Liordes to reach Vega de Liordes and continue on to the hut, where we’ll stay for the night.
On the second day, we return to Fuente Dé along a different path, descending through the Canal de Pedavejo and enjoying a completely different landscape. Rock, forest, peace, and variety—this route is truly memorable for all hikers.
Overnight in bivouac or mountain hut (subject to availability). Option for dinner and breakfast at the hut (subject to availability).
